1. Characters: White or almost white crystal powder, odourless, hygroscopic.

2. Extraction Source: Porcine pancreas.

3. Process: Chymotrypsin is extracted from healthy porcine pancreas and further prepared by a special process.

4. Indications and uses: Proteolytic enzyme. It can promote the liquefaction of blood clots, purulent secretions and necrotic tissues. Used to treat the wounds of inflammatory edema, inflammatory adhesion, hematoma, ulcer。Chymotrypsin from bovine pancreas has been used in a study to investigate protein extraction by Winsor-III microemulsion systems. α-Chymotrypsin from bovine pancreas has also been used in a study to investigate a new specific fullerene-based fluorescent probe for trypsin.
